Should the REALTA user more or less be "forced" to leave a comment before stating acquisition of an RT file?
When data is taken as an RT file (i.e., no actuator), if there is no comment in the file it is close to impssible to understand afterwards how this file differs from others in a sequence (if such exists). I note that currently it is very rare that physicists in the hasift indicate why a particular dataset is taken. Since the "snapshot" group is a collection of directories under which 1-4 parameter datasets reside and not a collection of attributes, it is very painful under a viwer such as HDFview to look at the individual parameters (e.g., LH attenuator and energy).
If the user was strongly urged (via a "opt-opt" situation), then a 1- or 2-sentnce comment could be very useful when looking at the data in the future (here future is any time period greater than 2 days since the shift...)
